Woodborough pupils WOW at the Lit Fest…

We have received some wonderful news from the Marlborough Literature Festival 2018…

Pupils from Woodborough School have wowed the judges of the Pop-Up Books Competition and have scooped 5 winning entries in the 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 year old categories and another 6 highly commended entries!

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our pupils who took part in the competition, VERY WELL DONE to Inigo, Robert, Polly, Emily, Ava and Dougal for their highly commended entries, especially big CONGRATULATIONS to Barnaby, Jake, Thea, Amelie and Nicholas for their winning entries and a final YIPPEE to Amelie who was named overall winner of the entire competition!

All of our pop-up prize winners looked suitably proud in this morning’s assembly when Mrs Wren read out the news…

Being Courageous

The theme for Collective Worship this term is COURAGE. Today Mrs Barratt and a group of confident volunteers shared an acrostic poem all about courage.

We worked with partners to think about the importance of having courage. Thank you to Ned, Kairan, Archie and others who shared their brilliant ideas 🙂

School Council Elections

On Monday morning the whole school listened to some excellent speeches from members of Year 6 who were campaigning for places on the Executive Committee of our School Council.

Final votes will be counted today and we’ll look forward to the announcement of the results… #PupilVoice #RoleModels&Responsibilities

Good luck to you all!
